Winnie the Wishful Witch

Winnie has never quite mastered the art of being frightening. Every time she tries to cast a wicked spell, something lovely happens instead. The pumpkins grow bigger, the neighbors’ flowers bloom, and lost kittens find their way home.

Each October, she polishes her broom and promises herself that this will be the year she becomes a proper, fearsome witch. But one look at that little smile tells the truth: Winnie would rather sweep away your troubles than stir up any of her own.
